I'm a software developer from Texas. I studied at Angelo State University in San Angelo, and that's where I fell in love with building things out of code. Being able to build something and see it come to life is awesome.

Away from the keyboard I'm an amateur MMA fighter. The sport has been a part of my life for years, both as a fan and now in the gym. It keeps me grounded and honest. It's also a good reminder that a lot of things worth doing are hard, and that you always have to stay humble. Some of the best fighters I've met come from backgrounds you wouldn't expect.

I'm Catholic, and my faith is central to how I live. Coming to the faith was something that took a lot of time and prayer, but it has been the most important thing I've ever done. When I get a chance to sit down with a book I'm usually reaching for Brandon Sanderson or Dostoevsky, along with a good bit of the writings of the Church fathers and the saints. And I never get tired of old Star Wars books even if the franchise is a shell of what it used to be.

Music is always on around here. My taste jumps around a lot, from Clairo to Tyler, the Creator to Cocteau Twins to TV Girl, depending on the mood. And when I want to unwind with a game, I don't think anything has ever topped Skyrim, Mass Effect, or Monster Hunter for me.
