Bible Study App For A Close Friend

The problem

My buddy felt like he couldn’t get exactly what he wanted from existing bible study apps. The biggesr thing was not being able to have a dedicated study page that linked to verses. Having it all in one place would be a massive improvement for him. I am Catholic, so my Bible has a few more books, my friend so he wanted an ESV version that leveraged the free API. Although we are different, helping out a friend with something that will honor Christian values is always a rewarding experience.

Approach

Create a Bible study app using a completely custom backend and frontend. Cross linking verses, studies, highlighting, persistance for where the reader left off, and a modern theme were all goals for this project.

Outcome

A streamlined, modern Bible study web app with a robust study management system. It provides a modern, user-friendly interface for Bible study, with features like verse highlighting, study persistence, and a custom ESV API integration.
