The problem

Wix e-commerce platform was too rigid and expensive for the needs of the bakery. Things such as cookie bundles were not easily customizable and required a lot of manual work. Moblie users were also struggling with the wix ui. This led to a poor user experience at a premium, recurring price.

Approach

Create a custom e-commerce solution using a completely custom backend and frontend. This would allow us to have full control over the user experience and pricing. A backend CMS was used to manage the product catalog, orders, new product releases, email marketing, and more. The backend admin system also allowed for an aalytics dashboard for monitoring sales and customer prefernces. Stripe was used for payment processing as the overhead is minimal compared to something like Shopify that requires an expensive, yearly plan which is not ideal for a small, low-volume bakery.

Outcome

A fully custom e-commerce solution with a backend CMS and Stripe for payment processing. This lead to better user experience and lower costs for the bakery, as well increased customer conversion rates.
